1. Introduction of BlueHouse

In a major leap towards enhancing customer experience, JetBlue Airways Corp (Nasdaq: JBLU) has announced the opening of its first-ever airport lounge, BlueHouse, at New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) Terminal 5. Set to open its doors on December 18, 2025, at 5 a.m. ET, BlueHouse embodies the airline’s commitment to delivering premium, customer-centric experiences as part of its broader JetForward strategy.

2. A Home Away from Home

Marty St. George, president of JetBlue, expressed enthusiasm about the lounge's opening, stating, “BlueHouse helps make our flagship terminal feel more like home.” The lounge is thoughtfully designed to be inviting and stylish, with an ambiance that reflects the energy of New York City. The aim is to provide a relaxed and seamless environment for travelers to unwind, work, or socialize, showcasing a design ethos that prioritizes customer comfort.

Design and Features

Spanning 9,000 square feet across two floors, BlueHouse draws inspiration from the iconic Art Deco architecture of New York, offering a unique blend of style and comfort. Guests will find curated local art, playful nods to JetBlue’s history, and a warm residential feel akin to a classic city apartment.

Stephanie Evans Greene, senior vice president of marketing and brand, highlighted the lounge's character, stating, “We infused the space with JetBlue’s signature style to feel homey and comfortable when staying in our House.” Additionally, the lounge features high-speed Wi-Fi, ample power outlets, a game room, and designated quiet areas to cater to various traveler needs.

3. Culinary Offerings

BlueHouse promises to delight guests with a food and beverage program that highlights the culinary culture of New York City. Curated by Union Square Events, the menu includes grab-and-go options such as bacon, egg, and cheese sandwiches, pastrami on rye, and chicken Caesar wraps. The beverage selection showcases local craft culture, featuring draft beers, signature cocktails, and artisan wines sourced from notable NYC establishments.

4. Exclusive Access for Loyal Customers

JetBlue is enhancing its TrueBlue® loyalty program by making BlueHouse a signature benefit for its most loyal customers, including Mosaic 4 members, JetBlue Premier Cardmembers, and transatlantic Mint customers. Complimentary access will be granted to these exclusive groups, with a guest policy allowing for one complimentary guest and additional guests at a fee of $39.

Complimentary BlueHouse access will commence on December 18, 2025, and limited access passes will be available for purchase starting in February 2026 for additional customer groups.

Future Expansion Plans

The introduction of BlueHouse at JFK is just the beginning. JetBlue plans to further enhance the customer experience at Terminal 5 with a multi-year refresh, adding over 40 new retailers and amenities. Additionally, plans are in motion to expand BlueHouse to other locations, with the next lounge set to open at Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) in 2026.

5. Conclusion

JetBlue's inaugural lounge, BlueHouse, represents a significant evolution in the airline's approach to customer service, offering an elevated travel experience that resonates with the brand's New York roots. As the airline continues to innovate and expand its offerings, BlueHouse stands as a testament to JetBlue's commitment to providing affordable, premium experiences from the aircraft to the airport, making travel more enjoyable and accessible for its customers.
