As winter descends upon ski resorts worldwide, Uber Technologies Inc. (NYSE: UBER) has unveiled a fresh service tailored for winter sports enthusiasts: Uber Ski. This innovative offering aims to simplify transportation for skiers and snowboarders, allowing them to focus on enjoying their time on the slopes rather than the logistics of getting there.

Starting today and running through the end of March, Uber Ski enables riders to reserve spacious vehicles capable of accommodating up to four passengers alongside their skiing or snowboarding equipment. This service is part of Uber Reserve, allowing users to secure their rides up to 90 days in advance, ensuring a reliable mode of transport to their winter adventures.

Uber Ski is set to operate in some of the most prestigious ski locations across the globe, including the United States, France, Switzerland, and soon Canada. By providing a dedicated transport solution, Uber aims to enhance the overall experience for winter sports lovers, making it easier than ever to access their favorite mountain destinations.

In a noteworthy development, Uber has partnered with Vail Resorts, Inc. (NYSE: MTN), the world's largest mountain resort operator. This collaboration marks a significant milestone, allowing users to reserve their Uber Ski rides while simultaneously purchasing lift tickets like the Epic Pass or Epic Day Pass directly through the Uber app.

Adib Roumani, Director of Engineering at Uber, expressed enthusiasm about the new service, stating, “We are thrilled to offer skiers and snowboarders alike a convenient and reliable way to get to the mountain this season. And, thanks to our new partnership with Epic Pass, everything you need for a great time on the slopes can be reserved with just a few taps in the Uber app.”

The Epic Pass is designed to provide skiers with extensive access to premier ski destinations. Holders can enjoy unlimited, unrestricted access to renowned locations such as Vail Mountain and Breckenridge in Colorado, Park City in Utah, Heavenly in California, Stowe in Vermont, Whistler Blackcomb in Canada, and Crans Montana Mountain Resort in Switzerland. For those skiing for shorter durations, the Epic 1-7 Day Pass offers substantial savings—up to 65% off lift tickets.

Additionally, pass holders benefit from exclusive discounts on various services, including 20% off on-mountain food and beverages, lodging, group ski and snowboard lessons, and equipment rentals, making it an attractive option for winter sports fans.

Utilizing Uber Ski is straightforward. Users simply need to open the Uber app and select the Uber Ski tile. They can opt for an UberXL for up to two guests with gear or an UberXXL for larger groups of up to four guests with their equipment. Following this, they can explore the available Epic Pass options, which are only on sale for a limited period. After December, customers can continue to book lift tickets to Vail Resorts’ mountains through the Uber Ski service.
