1. Introduction to "Stories from the Supply Chain"

On April 28, 2025, Ryder System, Inc. (NYSE: R) unveiled its latest national television advertising campaign titled “Stories from the Supply Chain.” This initiative aims to spotlight real-world logistics challenges faced by businesses across various industries, including fashion and fine wines and spirits. Featuring two of Ryder's prominent customers, Mugsy and Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits, the campaign illustrates the critical role Ryder plays in helping businesses navigate an increasingly complex supply chain landscape.

2. The Need for Strategic Partnerships

In a statement, Ryder's Chief Marketing Officer, Karen Jones, emphasized the importance of logistics providers evolving into strategic partners. “Businesses don’t just need logistics providers; they need strategic partners with expansive port-to-door capabilities and the expertise to make supply chains work smarter,” she said. The campaign aims to demonstrate how Ryder assists its clients in staying ahead of demand, adapting to market trends, and scaling operations for growth, ultimately enhancing customer satisfaction.

3. Spotlight on Mugsy: From E-commerce to Omnichannel Fulfillment

Mugsy, a brand known for its comfortable men’s jeans, has experienced rapid growth, transitioning from a digitally native brand to a robust physical retail presence. Mike McGee, Director of Operations and Stores at Mugsy, shared the brand's journey of partnering with Ryder for e-commerce fulfillment. Initially brought in for e-commerce needs, Mugsy quickly recognized Ryder’s capabilities and expanded the partnership to include omnichannel fulfillment.

“Based on recommendations from other brands, we chose Ryder – first for e-commerce fulfillment and then, once we saw what they could do, omnichannel fulfillment for our store replenishment – and it’s been a perfect fit,” McGee noted. With Ryder’s advanced technology and warehouse automation, Mugsy has tripled its order fulfillment capabilities and improved delivery times, achieving an average of one to two days faster than previous solutions.

4. Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits: Enhancing Delivery Efficiency

Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits, a leading distributor of alcohol beverages, faced significant delivery delays and challenges in tracking inbound goods. With a longstanding relationship with Ryder dating back to the 1980s, the company decided to expand its partnership to address these issues. Bobby Burg, Chief Supply Chain Officer at Southern Glazer’s, remarked on the decision: “We started working with Ryder on the leasing and maintenance side of the business back in the ‘80s, and it’s been a great experience; so, it only made sense to expand on that relationship and explore Ryder’s other capabilities.”

Ryder’s intervention included restructuring Southern Glazer’s inbound transportation with a flexible transportation management solution and implementing RyderShare™, a cutting-edge logistics technology. The results were impressive: achieving 100% freight visibility and a remarkable 98% on-time delivery rate. “Ryder has delivered once again. Between their operational expertise and their top-shelf technology, the improvements we’ve seen in productivity and efficiency have strengthened our supply chain at every level,” Burg added.

5. Campaign Airing and Accessibility

The “Stories from the Supply Chain” commercials are set to air from April 28 through June 22, primarily targeting audiences on ESPN, TBS, and TNT during the NHL Stanley Cup playoff games, as well as on Bloomberg TV's business news segments. For those interested in a deeper understanding of the partnerships, Ryder encourages viewers to download complete case studies for both Mugsy and Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits.

6. Conclusion: Ryder’s Commitment to Innovation and Partnership

Ryder System, Inc. continues to position itself as a leader in the logistics and transportation sector, demonstrating its commitment to innovation and strategic partnerships. By showcasing real customer stories, the company not only highlights its capabilities but also reinforces its role as a pivotal player in the evolving supply chain landscape. As businesses face ongoing challenges in logistics, Ryder’s expertise and advanced solutions remain invaluable assets for driving efficiency and success.
