HPE Unveils 11th Annual Living Progress Report Amidst Rising Demand for AI-Driven Solutions

The Living Progress strategy is HPE's commitment to embedding responsible business practices throughout its operations. The FY25 report illustrates how these initiatives translate into tangible customer value. Notably, the strategy aims to minimize energy consumption, reduce infrastructure complexity, and bolster cyber resilience, data visibility, and trust.

Antonio Neri, HPE's President and CEO, emphasized the transformative nature of AI: “AI is transforming enterprises around the world at a pace unlike any technology before it. The success of the next phase of AI adoption will depend on organizations’ ability to use creativity and focus to deploy AI securely, efficiently, and responsibly at scale.”

As AI technologies proliferate, the need for secure and reliable solutions becomes paramount. In FY25, HPE focused on enhancing its internal product governance and risk assessment models, creating an AI Governance and Enablement Hub and providing targeted training on AI Ethical Principles for its team members.

HPE also rolled out responsible technology solutions, such as the HPE Private Cloud AI and HPE Private Cloud Enterprise air-gapped solutions. These offerings support secure deployments for sensitive workloads, catering to organizations operating in highly regulated sectors. A notable example is Siemens Energy’s deployment of a global platform through HPE’s GreenLake platform, designed to support engineering-driven high-performance computing while adhering to strict export controls.

HPE's commitment to sustainability is resonating with customers, as evidenced by a remarkable $4.4 billion in net revenue during FY25 attributed to sustainability-driven purchases. Organizations are increasingly evaluating their IT infrastructure decisions through the dual lenses of performance and sustainability.

HPE's technological innovations, such as the ProLiant Compute Gen12 servers, promise a reduction in data center footprints by as much as 96% and energy consumption by up to 87%. Furthermore, the HPE Alletra Storage MP B10000 has demonstrated a 45% decrease in energy usage. The firm’s AI-driven automation and analytics across its networking portfolio, including the HPE Mist Networking Data Center Assurance, has optimized operations, delivering real-time insights to reduce unnecessary energy consumption.

HPE has also embraced direct liquid cooling (DLC) technologies, significantly minimizing the cooling-related carbon footprint. For instance, the Isambard-AI supercomputer, built by HPE for the University of Bristol, ranks as the UK’s most powerful AI supercomputer and the fourth most energy-efficient globally. The system was delivered via an HPE modular data center that achieved a 72% reduction in construction emissions compared to traditional methods.

HPE's commitment to ethical governance and sustainability has not gone unnoticed.
