Comcast Expands High-Speed Internet Access in Nassau County, Florida

In a significant development for rural northeast Florida, Comcast Corporation has announced the launch of high-speed, reliable Internet services from Xfinity to over 400 homes and businesses in Nassau County. The announcement was made on May 4, 2026, highlighting the expansion of Comcast's multi-gigabit, symmetrical Internet services as a critical step towards bridging the digital divide in the region.

This summer, Comcast plans to continue network construction, targeting an additional 1,900 locations in Nassau County. This expansion will bring high-speed Internet access to many more residents and businesses for the first time. The project is made possible through a collaborative public-private partnership with the state of Florida's Broadband Opportunity Program and Capital Projects Fund. It includes various communities such as Andrews, Becker, Bryceville, Callahan, and Crawford, among others.

The completion of this expansive project is anticipated by Fall 2026, marking a crucial milestone in enhancing the region’s digital infrastructure.
