In a strategic move to enhance the customer experience, Lowe's Companies Inc. has announced the rollout of its groundbreaking Lowe's Style Studio™ for Apple Vision Pro in five stores across Austin, Texas. This innovative application allows customers to design and visualize their dream kitchens through an immersive 3D experience, marking a significant leap in the intersection of technology and home improvement retail.

1. Transforming the Retail Experience

Lowe's Chief Digital and Information Officer, Seemantini Godbole, emphasized the company's commitment to transforming the retail experience through technology. "By combining the power of Lowe's Style Studio with our passion for helping customers, Lowe's is transforming the retail experience like never before," said Godbole. The application leverages the spatial computing capabilities of the Apple Vision Pro, providing customers with a seamless experience as they visualize, plan, and shop for their kitchen renovations.

2. Launch Details

The pilot program is set to begin on Saturday, March 15, and will be available for a limited time at the following locations:

  • Central Austin: 800 Shoal Creek Blvd.
  • S.W. Austin: 6400 Brodie Lane
  • N.W. Austin: 13201 N Ranch Rd 620, Bldg G
  • Bee Cave: 12611 Suite 100 Shops Pkwy.
  • Marble Falls: 3200 N US Highway 281

During each 45-minute session, a Lowe's associate will guide customers through various kitchen options, including sinks, cabinets, ranges, countertops, and flooring. The use of Apple Vision Pro’s spatial computing technology allows customers to interact with digital content in their physical space, enhancing the decision-making process.

3. Engaging the Community

Lowe's local community engagement is evident in the words of Ricardo Ramirez, store manager for Lowe's of Central Austin. "Lowe's has long been a go-to resource in our community for home improvement advice," he stated. "But it can still be difficult to make renovation decisions, especially in complex projects like a kitchen remodel. We're excited to pair groundbreaking technology with the associate know-how customers trust."

Sessions are free and available by appointment or on a walk-in basis, though appointments are preferred. Customers can schedule their sessions through Lowes.com.

4. Enhancements Based on Customer Feedback

The Austin launch follows a successful test run of Lowe's Style Studio™ in three stores last year, where the application was refined based on customer feedback. The update includes new options across various categories, focusing on trending colors and popular kitchen designs. Notably, the Austin launch will introduce a teleport feature, allowing users to view their kitchen from different perspectives with a simple flick of their finger.

5. A Broader Portfolio of Technological Innovations

Lowe's Style Studio™ is now available in the App Store for Apple Vision Pro, joining a suite of innovative tools designed to enhance the home improvement experience. These include MyLowe's Home, a personalized management hub; Style Your Space, which uses AI to inspire room decor; and Measure Your Space®, an ARKit-based measurement tool for iPhone.
