In a strategic move to enhance its leadership structure, Willis Towers Watson PLC (NASDAQ: WTW) has announced new appointments within its Health, Wealth & Career (HWC) leadership team. This shift follows the retirement of Marco Boschetti, who served as the Global Leader of Retirement. The changes, effective as of April 2, 2025, are aimed at continuing the momentum in the firm's retirement, integrated solutions, and North America leadership.

1. Key Leadership Appointments

Imran Qureshi Takes the Helm of Retirement Business

Imran Qureshi has been appointed as the new Retirement business leader, succeeding Boschetti. Qureshi brings over 25 years of experience in client relations and leadership, enriched by his actuarial background and multinational work experience. He will continue to serve as WTW’s North America geography leader while joining the executive team. His deep understanding of the retirement landscape positions him well to navigate the complexities and opportunities in this sector.

Emory Todd to Lead Integrated & Global Solutions

Emory Todd, another seasoned professional with over 25 years at WTW, will step into the role of Integrated & Global Solutions (IGS) business leader. Todd has a rich history within the company, having held various consultancy and leadership positions, including the HWC growth leader for North America. His ability to connect client needs with HWC solutions is expected to drive significant advancements within the IGS sector.

Michelle Acciavatti Appointed North America HWC Leader

Michelle Acciavatti is set to take on the role of North America HWC Leader, succeeding Todd. With more than 30 years at WTW and a strong actuarial background, Acciavatti has held various leadership positions, most recently as the Midwest Region Leader. In her new role, she will be tasked with driving revenue growth across North America and ensuring clients fully leverage the insights and offerings of the HWC division.

Rick Sherwood Leads Midwest Region

Rick Sherwood will take over from Acciavatti as the Midwest Region leader while also serving as the North America leader of the IGS business. His proven track record in cultivating client relationships positions him well to support market growth in the Midwest and the expansion of the IGS business in North America.

2. Vision for the Future

All four new leaders will be based in the U.S. and will serve on the HWC Global Leadership team, reporting directly to Julie Gebauer, President of Health, Wealth & Career. Gebauer expressed gratitude for Boschetti’s impactful leadership, noting that his legacy will continue to benefit clients and colleagues alike. She also highlighted the exceptional leadership qualities of Qureshi, Todd, Acciavatti, and Sherwood, emphasizing their deep experience and forward-thinking vision for the organization.
