T-Mobile US Inc. Joins Forces with MLB for an Unforgettable All-Star Week in Philadelphia

One of the standout features of this year’s All-Star Game is the return of the Automated Ball-Strike (ABS) Challenge System, powered by T-Mobile’s private 5G network that spans all 29 U.S. ballparks. The ABS system allows players to challenge close pitch calls, providing real-time data transmission to connected devices. This technology offers players a voice and gives fans an engaging reason to pay attention to every pitch.

With over 5,000 challenges already logged in the regular season, the ABS system has transformed close calls into electrifying moments, making it an integral part of the game. This year, fans can expect to see this technology in action during both the All-Star Game presented by Mastercard and the All-Star Futures Game presented by Nike.

For the first time, fans will enjoy an unprecedented perspective of T-Mobile Batting Practice, thanks to new 5G cameras mounted on the L-screen at the pitcher’s mound. This innovation offers a pitcher’s-eye view of players warming up before the T-Mobile Home Run Derby. Additional views from aerial drones and batting cage cameras will provide fans with an up-close look at their favorite players.

Notably, the T-Mobile Home Run Derby will be broadcast live on Netflix, allowing T-Mobile members to stream it at no extra cost through the Netflix on Us feature included in select plans.

T-Mobile is rolling out the red carpet for its customers during All-Star Week. T-Mobile customers in Philadelphia can gain exclusive access to Club Magenta, a premium lounge located directly across from Citizens Bank Park. Here, fans can enjoy player meet-and-greets, complimentary drinks during Magenta Hour, and exclusive giveaways.

Additionally, T-Mobile customers will benefit from fast-lane entry at the T-Mobile Home Run Derby, expediting their access to the event. The first 250 customers will also receive a $25 Phillies Team Store gift card.

T-Mobile will have a significant presence at All-Star Village, where fans can engage with the T-Mobile Truck and Trailer, offering interactive games and giveaways. Notable items include koozies, bat and ball keychains, and custom All-Star Week caps available at select local T-Mobile stores.

T-Mobile's robust network is not only enhancing the fan experience but is also vital for smooth event operations. The company’s T-Priority service will ensure that MLB security teams and first responders remain connected throughout the event. Additionally, the SuperMobile plan will keep MLB production and operations staff connected with built-in security and T-Satellite connectivity, ensuring seamless communication during the week.

To expedite fan entry into the park, T-Mobile has implemented Go-Ahead Entry, allowing fans to use facial recognition technology via the MLB Ballpark app to enter the stadium without fumbling for tickets.
