San Jose, CA – April 8, 2026 – BILL (NYSE: BILL), a leading intelligent finance platform, has unveiled significant advancements to its Supplier Payments Plus solution. This enhancement aims to streamline and automate the payment process between small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) and large enterprise suppliers, with the potential to expedite payments by approximately seven days.

1. Strengthening B2B Payment Infrastructure

In a rapidly evolving digital landscape, the complexity of B2B payments has intensified, with 93% of companies prioritizing cash application efficiency improvements in 2026. As businesses face increasing payment volumes and the necessity for digital transformation, suppliers are challenged by fragmented payment workflows. BILL's latest offering seeks to bridge the gap between SMBs and enterprise suppliers, enhancing operational speed and predictability.

Mary Kay Bowman, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Payments and Financial Services at BILL, emphasized the need for orchestration and trust in B2B payments: “B2B payments are complex, requiring orchestration, trust, and precision across both SMBs and their Enterprise Suppliers. Across our network of more than 8 million businesses, BILL operates at the center, absorbing complexity at scale so customers on both sides can move money with greater clarity and control.”

2. Innovative Features for Enhanced Payment Processing

BILL has integrated several features into its Supplier Payments Plus solution that promises greater control and improved cash flow predictability for enterprise suppliers:

  • Card Straight-Through Processing (STP): This feature automates card payment processing and settlement, directly depositing funds into supplier accounts. It streamlines high-volume payment workflows by eliminating the cumbersome manual receipt processing and exception handling.
  • Intelligent Payment Preferences (Card and ACH): Suppliers can now configure payment rules that optimize for speed and cost, enhancing Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and potentially allowing suppliers to receive payments up to ~7 days faster.

3. Expanding Digital Payment Capabilities

BILL is also focused on enhancing the digital payment experience for enterprise suppliers, allowing them to receive payments seamlessly from their SMB customers, whether they are within or outside the BILL network. Notable enhancements include:

  • Payment Links: This feature allows suppliers to accept card and ACH payments from SMBs through a simple link, removing the need for the supplier to create a BILL account or navigate a portal.
  • Digitizing Off-Network Volume: BILL aims to convert traditional paper checks and manual payments into digital transactions, facilitating smoother operations and supporting faster digital adoption.
  • Unified Visibility Across All Incoming Payments: Suppliers will benefit from a comprehensive dashboard that provides a single view of payments from both in-network and out-of-network businesses, thereby enhancing forecasting accuracy and operational control.

4. BILL's Role in the Financial Ecosystem

As a trusted partner to nearly half a million businesses, BILL's platform is pivotal in managing, moving, and maximizing financial transactions. With capabilities spanning accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), expenses, forecasting, and procurement, BILL continues to innovate within the financial technology landscape. The company processes nearly 1% of U.S. GDP annually, showcasing its integral role in the economy.

For businesses looking to enhance their payment processes and cash application efficiency, BILL's Supplier Payments Plus offers a comprehensive solution designed to remove friction from the transaction lifecycle.
