1. A New Chapter for PubMatic

On January 27, 2026, PubMatic, Inc. (Nasdaq: PUBM), a prominent player in the digital advertising landscape, announced a significant expansion of its commercial leadership team. This move is a pivotal step in the company's strategy to meet the surging demand for AI-driven advertising solutions across premium connected TV (CTV), mobile applications, and omnichannel media.

Kyle Dozeman, Chief Revenue Officer for the Americas at PubMatic, emphasized the importance of this expansion, stating, “We are building the leadership team required to meet that demand, with deep expertise across brands, agencies, CTV, mobile app, and premium digital media.” The new appointments signal a strategic reinforcement of PubMatic’s North American commercial organization, aiming to accelerate growth in both the buy-side and publisher segments.

2. Key Leadership Appointments

The recent expansion is anchored by the appointments of Joseph Dressler as Senior Vice President of Advertiser Solutions (Brands) and Bill McLaughlin as Senior Vice President of Advertiser Solutions (Agencies). These seasoned professionals bring extensive experience and insights that are expected to enhance PubMatic's offerings in the rapidly evolving advertising marketplace.

Joseph Dressler: Driving Brand Performance

Joseph Dressler joins PubMatic with an impressive 15-year track record in programmatic advertising, having held pivotal roles at companies such as LiveIntent, Quotient, and Adform. His expertise will be instrumental in leading PubMatic’s brand-direct strategy, allowing advertisers to achieve scalable performance across CTV, mobile apps, and omnichannel channels. Dressler remarked, “Brands want outcomes, not complexity,” reinforcing PubMatic's mission to streamline media execution for advertisers.

Bill McLaughlin: Agency Partnerships

Bill McLaughlin, with nearly three decades of experience, previously led CTV sales at TripleLift and has held senior positions at major companies including NBCUniversal, Hulu, and Disney. His role at PubMatic will focus on global agency partnerships, where he aims to modernize buying models and facilitate the adoption of AI-native workflows. McLaughlin stated, “Agencies are under pressure to move faster and prove performance at every stage of the funnel,” showcasing the urgency for innovative solutions in advertising.

3. Accelerating Buy-Side Growth

PubMatic’s commercial expansion also aims to enhance the growth and deployment of its proprietary AgenticOS—an AI-powered advertising operating system designed to optimize buying, execution, and performance across the digital supply chain. This initiative will capitalize on the increasing advertiser demand for direct access to premium video environments, particularly as PubMatic collaborates with over 90% of the world’s leading streaming platforms.

The company has reported that direct supply path optimization (SPO) relationships now account for more than 50% of total platform activity, reflecting a robust momentum in its buy-side operations.

4. Expanding Talent Pool for Enhanced Strategy

In addition to its executive appointments, PubMatic is expanding its buy-side team with new hires including Gretchen Bobroff, Lindsay Borchik, Dan Forberg, Thomas Galati, and Michael Muñoz. These professionals bring diverse backgrounds from notable companies such as Amazon and Condé Nast, specializing in premium video, data-driven media, and performance marketing. Their collective goal is to streamline the transition from strategy to measurable results using PubMatic’s Activate platform and AgenticOS.

5. Strengthening Publisher Partnerships

On the supply side, PubMatic is also enhancing its publisher and customer success organization with new leadership drawn from esteemed organizations like Tubi and Proctor & Gamble. New leaders, including Robert Applegate, Kenia Intriago, Chris Garcia, and Brian Larson, are tasked with scaling direct partnerships with premium publishers and app developers to drive monetization and growth across CTV, mobile app, and omnichannel formats.

6. Embracing the Future of AI-Powered Media Buying

As the landscape of advertising continues to evolve, PubMatic is inviting brands, agencies, publishers, and technology partners to participate in the Agentic Accelerator Program. This initiative aims to facilitate the swift adoption of agentic advertising practices, helping to define the next era of AI-powered media buying.

With a commitment to transparency, control, and efficiency, PubMatic is poised to continue its trajectory of innovation and performance in the digital advertising realm. As the company positions itself as a leader in AI-powered ad tech, it remains dedicated to building a more intelligent and sustainable open internet.
