1. Enhancing Financial Leadership Amidst Industry Growth

On May 19, 2026, EVgo Inc. (NASDAQ: EVGO), a prominent player in the fast charging network for electric vehicles in the United States, announced the appointment of Amber Scott, CPA, as Chief Accounting Officer (CAO), effective May 18, 2026. This strategic decision comes at a critical juncture as the company aims to fortify its accounting functions to support its ambitious growth trajectory in the rapidly evolving electric vehicle (EV) market.

2. A Strong Addition to the Team

Keefer Lehner, EVgo’s Chief Financial Officer, expressed enthusiasm about Scott's arrival, highlighting her extensive background in public company accounting and financial reporting. “Amber brings exceptional depth in public company accounting, financial reporting, and controls — the precise expertise that will help EVgo as we continue to scale our nationwide network and execute our long-term strategy,” said Lehner. He emphasized that Scott's leadership experience in high-growth environments positions her as an ideal fit to enhance EVgo’s accounting capabilities.

Scott joins EVgo with over 20 years of experience in finance and accounting leadership. Her most recent role was Vice President of Finance and Principal Accounting Officer at Redwood Materials, a leading global company specializing in battery recycling and energy storage solutions. There, she was instrumental in overseeing worldwide accounting and tax functions and acted as the primary liaison with the Audit Committee and external auditors.

3. Proven Track Record in Financial Management

Prior to her tenure at Redwood Materials, Scott served as Senior Vice President of Finance and Chief Accounting Officer at Powin Energy, where she played a pivotal role in preparing the company for public company status and revitalizing its financial reporting infrastructure. Her career also includes significant accomplishments at Flex Ltd., a global manufacturing and supply chain giant, where she advanced to Vice President of Global Corporate Accounting.

At Flex, she was responsible for leading the global technical accounting function and successfully implementing major accounting standards, while also serving as a key finance partner for acquisitions, contract negotiations, and SEC reporting. Scott began her career in the audit practice at Deloitte & Touche LLP, equipping her with a solid foundation in financial principles and compliance.

4. A Vision for the Future of EVgo

In her new role, Scott will oversee the Company’s Accounting, Tax, Compliance, and SEC Reporting functions, reporting directly to Keefer Lehner. She expressed her excitement about joining EVgo at a pivotal moment for the EV charging industry: “The EV market in America is rapidly transforming, and EVgo has a clear growth path to continue to lead the industry,” she stated. Scott looks forward to collaborating with the leadership team to build a top-tier accounting organization that supports EVgo’s expansion.

5. About EVgo

EVgo stands as one of the leading public fast charging providers in the United States, boasting over 1,200 fast charging stations across 47 states. The company strategically partners with various businesses, including retailers, grocery stores, restaurants, and rideshare operators to enhance the accessibility of charging infrastructure. Furthermore, EVgo's Innovation Lab plays a crucial role in advancing the EV charging industry through extensive interoperability testing and collaborations with major automakers.
