1. Strategic Agreement Overview

In a significant move to bolster its position in the artificial intelligence (AI) landscape, Veritone Inc. (NASDAQ: VERI) announced a multi-year strategic agreement with Oracle on March 26, 2026. This partnership aims to migrate Veritone’s AI solutions to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), which is expected to enhance the scalability, security, and performance of Veritone's offerings, including its flagship aiWARE platform, Veritone Data Refinery (VDR), and Veritone Data Marketplace (VDM).

2. Enhancing Scalability and Security

The partnership comes amid rising demand for robust and secure AI infrastructure, with Veritone planning to utilize OCI’s high-performance capabilities to power its aiWARE platform. The collaboration will also harness OCI’s distributed cloud technology, which encompasses edge computing, customer data centers, multi-cloud environments, and public cloud solutions. This flexibility will enable Veritone to meet critical security and data residency requirements, positioning the company to better serve its diverse client base.

Ryan Steelberg, President and CEO of Veritone, emphasized the strategic significance of this partnership: “Through this partnership with Oracle, we are strengthening our leadership in managing unstructured data and complex, multi-model AI workflows, while reinforcing our commitment to delivering robust, dynamic AI solutions.” He further indicated that migrating key workloads to OCI would enhance performance and security for both commercial and public sector customers.

3. Targeting Key Industries

Veritone's collaboration with Oracle is set to bolster its presence across three primary sectors:

1. Commercial Sector: Media, Sports, and Entertainment

In the commercial space, Veritone intends to leverage OCI’s low-latency networking and high-performance storage capabilities to enhance its Digital Media Hub (DMH) and content licensing services. This initiative aims to empower media partners, including prominent organizations like NCAA, CBS News, Augusta National, and ESPN, to manage and monetize their archives more effectively. The partnership promises to deliver richer audience insights and improved content personalization.

2. Public Sector: Law Enforcement and Government

For the public sector, Veritone plans to deploy its AI-powered Intelligent Digital Evidence Management System (iDEMS) on OCI, specifically tailored for U.S. government and public sector environments. This deployment is designed to meet stringent requirements, including those outlined by the Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) and FedRAMP. The goal is to modernize data and investigative workflows, ensuring a secure, compliant, and resilient environment for public agencies.

3. AI Data Economy: Data Services Expansion

In the realm of the AI data economy, Veritone aims to expand its data services through VDR and VDM. The VDR, which has seen a rapidly growing demand pipeline, will utilize OCI to transform and tokenize raw, unstructured data—including audio and video—into high-quality training datasets. Simultaneously, the VDM will leverage OCI to increase the volume of premium data available to AI developers worldwide.

4. Oracle's Perspective

Chris Gandolfo, Executive Vice President of North America OCI Sales & Engineering at Oracle, highlighted the strengths of Veritone in managing unstructured data and supporting complex media workflows. He remarked, “By working together, we are helping organizations—particularly in regulated and data-intensive industries—deploy and scale AI initiatives with security, performance, and control.”

5. Conclusion

Veritone's strategic agreement with Oracle marks a pivotal moment for the company as it seeks to enhance its AI and data solutions. By migrating to OCI, Veritone is poised to deliver improved performance and security to its customers while expanding its service offerings across critical industries. As demand for scalable AI infrastructure continues to rise, this partnership positions Veritone to capitalize on emerging opportunities in the AI landscape.
