1. Leadership Changes to Drive Future Growth

On March 3, 2025, OP Bancorp, the holding company for Open Bank, made significant strides in its leadership structure by appointing Christine Oh as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Jaehyun Park as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). These appointments come at a pivotal time for the company, as it embarks on its 2025 succession plan aimed at bolstering operational efficiency and enhancing financial performance.

Christine Oh: A Veteran Leader Takes on New Role

Christine Oh, aged 57, steps into the role of COO after an impressive tenure as CFO, a position she has held since the formation of OP Bancorp in March 2016 and since July 2010 at Open Bank. With over 34 years of banking experience, Ms. Oh is well-versed in the intricacies of the financial services industry. Her deep understanding of the company’s operations, strategic objectives, and employee dynamics is expected to be invaluable in her new role.

In her position as COO, Ms. Oh will oversee the day-to-day operations of the company and the bank, ensuring that both entities operate smoothly and efficiently as they pursue growth and improve customer service.

Jaehyun Park: A Promising Successor

Jaehyun Park, aged 53, has been appointed as the new CFO, succeeding Ms. Oh. Previously serving as the Senior Vice President and Controller since June 2014, Mr. Park brings extensive experience in community banking and finance to his new role. Before joining Open Bank, he held various finance-related positions at Nara Bank (now Bank of Hope), where he honed his expertise in financial management.

Mr. Park’s academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Korea University in South Korea, as well as a Master of Science in Finance and a Juris Doctor from Suffolk University in Boston. His comprehensive background positions him to effectively manage the financial operations of OP Bancorp and support its strategic growth initiatives.

CEO Min Kim's Enthusiastic Endorsement

Min Kim, the CEO of OP Bancorp, expressed her enthusiasm regarding the new appointments. She stated, “We are pleased to welcome Mr. Park to our executive management team. We are confident that Mr. Park’s extensive community banking and leadership experience will play a key role in helping the Company and the Bank achieve its objectives in the upcoming years as it continues to grow and implement its 2025 succession plan.”

Kim further emphasized the importance of Ms. Oh’s transition into the COO role, highlighting her invaluable knowledge of the company’s history, business strategy, and operations. “Her in-depth knowledge of the Company and the Bank cannot be overstated and will make her a tremendous asset in her new role,” Kim added.
