Notably, improvements achieved through this technology include a 32% increase in power density and a 0.1% efficiency boost within the same physical footprint, allowing the power output of solar inverters to rise from 320 kW to an impressive 350 kW.

The hybrid F5BP PIMs integrate onsemi’s cutting-edge FS7 IGBT and EliteSiC diode technologies, leading to a reduction in power dissipation by as much as 8% and a 10% decrease in switching losses compared to previous models. The innovative design features such as a direct bonded copper (DBC) substrate significantly minimize stray inductance and reduce thermal resistance to the heat sink by 9.3%.
