1. An Inspiring Celebration of Adapted Sports

On May 14, 2025, MetLife, Inc. reaffirmed its commitment to supporting veterans and the community as it continues its role as the presenting sponsor for the Valor Games Southeast (VGSE). This year marks a significant milestone, celebrating 13 years of empowering veterans with disabilities through adapted sports and camaraderie. The event, hosted by Bridge II Sports (BIIS), showcases the company’s dedication to community engagement and social responsibility.

2. The Theme: “Undaunted, Undeterred, Undefied”

The theme for this year's Valor Games, “Undaunted, Undeterred, Undefied,” encapsulates the spirit of resilience and determination that defines the veteran community. Since its inception in 2013, VGSE has engaged over 1,000 veterans, providing them with opportunities to compete in adapted sports, fostering a sense of community and belonging.

Ashley Thomas, Founder and CEO of Bridge II Sports, expressed her gratitude for the continued support from MetLife. “Over the years, I have witnessed lives heal through Valor Games SE, giving hope for a future that is impacted by the storms of war,” she stated. Thomas, who lives with a disability herself, emphasized the importance of the event in helping participants find their way back to engagement with their families and communities.

3. MetLife’s Commitment to Community Support

MetLife’s involvement in the Valor Games extends beyond mere financial support. For the tenth consecutive year, the company has mobilized a dedicated team of employees, predominantly veterans, who have collectively contributed over 5,000 volunteer hours to assist in planning and executing the event. Tony Granata, MetLife Valor Games Executive Sponsor and a US Navy Veteran, highlighted the company’s role in giving back to the community: “As one of the world’s leading financial services companies, MetLife plays an important role in being committed to the communities where we do business.”
