1. Introduction of Service-Specific Tools

On October 22, 2025, Machinio, a subsidiary of Liquidity Services Inc. (NASDAQ: LQDT), announced significant enhancements to its platform aimed at bolstering service providers in the machinery and equipment sector. The newly introduced service-specific features are designed to complement the existing functionalities of the Machinio System, empowering users to effectively advertise and manage the critical support services associated with their equipment sales.

2. Addressing Customer Needs

According to Robin Hargadon, Vice President and General Manager of Machinio, the decision to expand the platform was motivated by a crucial insight: a substantial portion of their customers' revenue is derived from supplementary services that were previously underrepresented in online advertising. "We recognized that many users were not promoting and managing this part of their business online,” Hargadon stated. The new features aim to streamline this process and enhance revenue generation for Machinio's clients.

3. Key Features of the Service Management Tools

The newly rolled out Service Management features include a comprehensive suite of tools that facilitate service management while improving customer engagement. Here are some of the standout capabilities:

  • Service Requests: Users can now differentiate between service inquiries and machinery buyer leads, allowing for better allocation of resources and focused responses.
  • Service-Specific Pages/Forms: Clients can create search engine optimized pages dedicated to individual services, complete with tailored inquiry forms that collect essential, service-specific information upfront.
  • Integrated CRM Workflow: Service inquiries are now seamlessly integrated into the Machinio System's CRM, ensuring that relevant contact records are linked and minimizing manual input through automatic email notifications to designated users.
  • Dashboard Visibility: The platform offers distinct visibility of service inquiries on the dashboard, allowing users to manage these leads separately from their inventory or webshop leads.
  • Direct Quoting from CRM: Users can streamline the quoting process by generating and sending service quotes directly from the CRM, thus simplifying the transition from inquiry to proposal.

4. Positive Adoption and Future Developments

Since the soft launch of these features, there has been a notable uptake among Machinio System’s clients, with 75% of them promoting at least one service on their websites. The data indicates that service requests now account for over 20% of total inbound inquiries, suggesting a robust growth trajectory as equipment dealers and service-exclusive businesses increasingly leverage the platform.

Jenny Zembrzycki from Island Yacht Management & Sales highlighted the transformative impact of the new Service Requests feature, noting that the integration has simplified processes for both sales and service teams. “Having everything in one place makes the process incredibly easy to access and manage,” she remarked, emphasizing the increased efficiency compared to previous systems.

In response to the enthusiastic adoption, Machinio is set to roll out additional service-specific features aimed at further enhancing the capabilities of their platform for equipment sales customers and service providers alike.

5. About Machinio
