Gentex Partners with Genie to Enhance HomeLink with Cloud-Based Garage Door Control

In a strategic move to bolster its HomeLink® system, Gentex Corporation (NASDAQ: GNTX) has announced a collaboration with The Genie® Company, unveiling plans to integrate Genie’s Aladdin Connect® platform into HomeLink. This partnership, effective as of November 20, 2025, aims to provide Gentex customers with the ability to control Genie garage door systems directly from their vehicles, ushering in a new era of convenience in home automation.

HomeLink stands out as the automotive industry's leading car-to-home automation system, renowned for its reliability and extensive application across various vehicle models. Currently, HomeLink is available on nearly 300 vehicle models from 50 different automakers, with approximately 110 million units actively in use on the roads. The latest iteration of this system incorporates advanced technologies such as radio frequency, Long-Range Bluetooth®, and cloud-based functionalities, allowing users to operate garage doors, gates, lights, and other smart home devices directly from their vehicles.

The Genie Aladdin Connect® platform enhances the capabilities of garage door systems by enabling remote monitoring and control via smartphone. Users can open or close their garage doors from virtually anywhere, benefitting from features like real-time notifications, scheduling options, and multi-user access. Furthermore, Genie's retrofit kit allows homeowners to transform nearly any traditional garage door into a smart-enabled one, thus making it compatible with HomeLink's in-vehicle solutions.
