1. Strategic Partnership with Frontier Power

Eos Energy Enterprises Inc. (NASDAQ: EOSE), a leader in battery energy storage systems (BESS), has announced a significant development in its collaboration with Frontier Power Ltd., a prominent UK-based energy developer. On October 31, 2025, the companies revealed a strategic order of 228 megawatt-hours (MWh) to deploy Eos' innovative Z3™ energy storage systems. This order is the first to be executed under their existing 5 GWh framework agreement established in April 2025.

2. Enhancing Grid Reliability

The newly secured order represents a pivotal moment in the partnership, aimed at enhancing alternative, long-duration energy storage solutions to strengthen grid reliability across multiple markets. Nathan Kroeker, Eos' Chief Commercial Officer, expressed confidence in the partnership, stating, “This order reflects continued confidence in Eos’ zinc technology and the strength of our partnership with Frontier. Together, we’re demonstrating that long-duration storage is ready to scale and play a critical role in delivering reliable dispatchable power.”

3. Deployment and Technological Validation

Frontier will deploy the Eos Z3™ systems, which incorporate the Company’s proprietary battery management system, software, controls, and analytics platform—DawnOS™. This deployment is set to validate the performance and reliability of Eos' technology in various grid environments. The collaboration also aligns with Frontier’s upcoming projects under Ofgem’s Cap-and-Floor program.

Notably, Frontier has advanced 11 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of long-duration storage projects to the second round of the Cap-and-Floor program, incorporating Eos' technology—more than doubling their initial commitment. This achievement underscores a growing market demand for storage solutions capable of providing energy for over eight hours, affirming the companies' joint capacity to deliver commercially viable large-scale solutions.

4. Commitment to Long-Duration Storage

Humza Malik, Chief Executive Officer of Frontier, emphasized the significance of the partnership, stating, “Our partnership with Eos goes beyond a single project – it’s about building a platform for long-duration storage at scale. Together, we’re demonstrating how innovative, safe, and sustainable zinc technology can support renewable growth and deliver dependable, flexible power for the grid of the future.”

The Z3™ technology from Eos leverages proven zinc-based chemistry, offering enhanced energy density, extended duration, and a safe, non-flammable solution that is ideal for long-life, grid-scale applications. As the partnership progresses, Eos and Frontier are well-positioned to accelerate the deployment of long-duration energy storage solutions across key international markets, ultimately supporting renewable integration, grid stability, and global energy security.

5. Financial Milestone Achievement

In a concurrent announcement, Eos Energy also disclosed that it has achieved its final cash receipt milestone as part of a prior agreement with Cerberus Capital Management LP. This milestone marks a significant step in Eos' financial strategy, with no additional preferred stock or warrants being issued to Cerberus at this time.

6. Conclusion

Eos Energy's recent order and milestone achievement with Frontier Power highlight the company's strategic focus on long-duration energy storage technologies. With growing demand for reliable energy solutions, Eos is poised to play a vital role in the evolving energy landscape, leveraging its innovative zinc-based technology to support a sustainable and flexible power grid for future generations.
