1. Partnership Overview

On March 3, 2026, Enphase Energy, Inc. (NASDAQ: ENPH), a leading global energy technology company, announced a strategic partnership with Capital Good Fund, a nonprofit community development financial institution (CDFI). This collaboration aims to enhance solar energy access for small commercial and residential projects across the United States, specifically targeting underserved communities. The initiative is expected to support approximately 24 megawatts of solar installations, predominantly in Georgia and Pennsylvania.

2. Empowering Underserved Communities

Capital Good Fund is well-known for its BRIGHT program, which provides low-cost solar power purchase agreements (PPAs) and leases to nonprofits, houses of worship, affordable housing developments, municipal facilities, and small businesses. The partnership with Enphase Energy will allow Capital Good Fund to expand its offerings and make solar energy more accessible to low- and moderate-income (LMI) homeowners and community organizations.

Andy Posner, founder and CEO of Capital Good Fund, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, "Enphase has been a trusted partner for years, and this agreement deepens that relationship. The 25-year limited warranty, flexibility, and support that Enphase provides give us the certainty we need to move forward confidently on behalf of the community organizations and homeowners we serve."

3. Advancing Solar Technology

The agreement will facilitate the deployment of Enphase’s advanced microinverter technology, specifically the IQ8P-3P™ and IQ9N-3P™ models. These products are manufactured in the United States and contribute to the growing trend of domestic sourcing in the renewable energy sector. Enphase recently began production shipments of its IQ9™ Commercial Microinverter, which is notable for being powered by gallium nitride (GaN) technology and is designed for three-phase 480Y/277 V (wye) grid configurations.

Both the IQ8™ and IQ9™ microinverters come with “DOM” suffix SKUs, which signifies that they contain domestic content. This feature enables eligible projects to qualify for the domestic content bonus tax credit, enhancing the financial viability of solar installations in compliance with evolving U.S. sourcing requirements.

4. Enhancing Reliability and Performance

Enphase microinverter systems are engineered to optimize fleet visibility through per-panel monitoring via the Enphase® App. By converting direct current (DC) to alternating current (AC) at each solar panel, these systems mitigate the risks associated with traditional string inverter designs, which often create single points of failure. This innovative approach supports a more resilient panel-level AC architecture, making it particularly suitable for small commercial and residential projects that demand long-term reliability.

Ken Fong, Senior Vice President of Sales at Enphase Energy, commented, "Small commercial and residential projects demand technology that performs reliably for decades, and Enphase delivers. Our microinverter systems are designed to support long-term reliability, panel-level visibility, and strong operational performance for asset owners and TPO providers like Capital Good Fund."

5. Looking Ahead

As Enphase Energy continues to expand its U.S. manufacturing capabilities and domestic sourcing initiatives, the company remains committed to supporting the objectives of its partners and customers. Project developers are encouraged to consult their own legal and tax advisors to assess eligibility for available tax benefits and incentives related to solar installations.

This partnership with Capital Good Fund signifies a crucial step forward in making solar energy more affordable and accessible for communities that need it the most, reinforcing Enphase’s position as a leader in the renewable energy landscape.
