Cimpress plc (Nasdaq: CMPR) has unveiled a bold strategic initiative aimed at enhancing its offerings in elevated products such as promotional items, logo apparel, "merchandise", signage, and packaging. The announcement was made at The Promotional Products Association International (PPAI) Expo 2026 in Las Vegas, marking a significant step forward in the company’s mission to deliver exceptional value to its customers.

1. Strengthening the Collaboration

The company plans to harness the exceptional capabilities of its National Pen and BuildASign divisions to drive outcomes for its VistaPrint brand that would be unattainable independently. Robert Keane, founder, chairman, and CEO of Cimpress, emphasized the importance of this collaboration in building customer trust and enhancing revenue growth. “Elevated products are earning us greater customer trust and wallet share while driving revenue growth and financial returns,” Keane stated.

Cimpress aims to leverage the manufacturing and supply chain strengths of National Pen and BuildASign to cater to VistaPrint’s extensive customer base. This initiative is set to expand into other domains, facilitating progress towards Cimpress’ previously stated goal of achieving constant currency revenue growth of 4-6% and at least $600 million in adjusted EBITDA by FY2028.

2. Promotional Products: A Key Growth Area

The promotional products category serves as a prime example of Cimpress' success in elevated products. The company reports approximately $700 million in annual revenue from this sector, with VistaPrint accounting for nearly half of this figure. The brand has consistently demonstrated robust organic growth, achieving over 10% revenue growth year-over-year for the past 18 quarters, effectively doubling its revenue within the last three years.

3. Leadership Transition at National Pen

As Cimpress embarks on this new phase, the company announced a leadership change at National Pen. Peter Kelly, the current CEO, will be stepping down, with Bryan Kranik set to take the helm while also continuing in his role as CEO of BuildASign. Keane expressed gratitude for Kelly’s nearly two-decade tenure, highlighting his significant contributions to National Pen and the broader Cimpress strategy.

Kelly reflected on his time at National Pen, noting, "It has been a privilege to lead National Pen during a period of dynamic transformation," and he acknowledged the impressive growth of Cimpress’ promotional products category.

4. A Unified Vision for the Future

Kranik, in his new dual role, articulated a commitment to collaboration across the Cimpress group, aiming to enhance service offerings for high-value customers. This unified vision is expected to streamline operations and improve overall customer experience, further solidifying Cimpress' position as a leader in the custom print and promotional products industry.

5. About Cimpress

Cimpress plc, founded in 1995, is recognized as the global leader in web-to-print mass customization. The company serves millions of businesses by providing high-quality, affordable custom products. Its diverse portfolio includes well-known brands such as VistaPrint, BuildASign, and many others, all dedicated to helping businesses build their brands and stand out in a competitive marketplace.
