Consensus Cloud Solutions, Inc. (NASDAQ: CCSI), a leader in digital cloud fax technology, announced its financial results for the third quarter of 2025, showcasing steady performance amid evolving market conditions. The results reflect a solid quarter driven by growth in the corporate channel and robust operational efficiency, underscoring the company's strategic focus on higher-margin business segments.

1. Q3 2025 Financial Highlights

The company reported unaudited revenues of $87.8 million, consistent with the same period in 2024. Notably, the Corporate business segment experienced a 6.1% increase, contributing an additional $3.2 million to the top line, while the Small Office/Home Office (SoHo) segment faced a decline of 9.2%, aligning with Consensus's strategic shift away from lower-margin offerings.

Profitability Metrics

Net income for Q3 2025 rose to $22.1 million, up from $21.1 million year-over-year, resulting in a net income margin of 25.2% compared to 24.1% in Q3 2024. The increase was largely attributed to favorable foreign exchange dynamics.

Earnings per diluted share increased to $1.15, a 5.5% rise from $1.09 in the prior year. Adjusted EBITDA, however, saw a slight decline to $46.4 million, down from $46.9 million, primarily due to rising personnel-related expenses. The adjusted EBITDA margin remained robust at 52.8%, comfortably within the targeted range of 50% - 55%.

Cash Flow Improvements

Consensus experienced a significant improvement in cash flow, with net cash provided by operating activities increasing to $51.6 million, up from $41.6 million in Q3 2024. Free cash flow also surged, reaching $44.4 million, a 32.3% increase from $33.6 million in the prior year. This positive cash generation was driven by increased income levels, excluding noncash items.

2. Strategic Capital Allocation

In line with its capital allocation strategy, Consensus ended the quarter with $97.6 million in cash and cash equivalents. The company utilized its new credit facility to retire $200 million of its 6% Notes due October 2026, with plans to retire the remaining $34 million before year-end.

Share Repurchase Program

Consensus also continued its commitment to shareholder returns by repurchasing $2.6 million worth of common stock during the quarter, contributing to a cumulative total of $47.1 million under its ongoing repurchase initiative.

3. Q4 2025 Guidance

Looking ahead, Consensus provided guidance for the fourth quarter of 2025, narrowing its expectations based on year-to-date performance. The company anticipates revenues between $84.9 million and $88.9 million, adjusted EBITDA ranging from $43.1 million to $46.0 million, and adjusted earnings per diluted share between $1.27 and $1.37.

Conclusion

In summary, Consensus Cloud Solutions continues to demonstrate resilience and adaptability in a competitive landscape. The solid financial performance in Q3, coupled with a strategic approach to capital allocation and clear guidance for Q4, positions the company well for sustained growth. With a focus on higher-margin corporate offerings and robust cash flow generation, Consensus is on track to deliver long-term value to its stakeholders.
