Adjusted Operating Income for this segment fell to $133.3 million, compared to $150.9 million in the previous year, resulting in an adjusted operating income margin of 11.9%.

Bioscience Production

In contrast, the Bioscience Production segment reported a 3% increase in net sales, reaching $561.3 million, up from $547.1 million in Q2 2024. The segment experienced a positive foreign currency translation impact of 1%, leading to a 2% organic sales increase. However, adjusted operating income decreased slightly to $139.7 million, with a margin of 24.9%.

Michael Stubblefield, President and CEO of Avantor, emphasized the company's commitment to driving growth and operational efficiency in his remarks.
